I would like offer you a warm welcome from the Duncan family and FBC.
It is a great joy mine to have served First Baptist Church as the Senior Pastor since February 2015, a short tenure in the life of a church that has existed for nearly 75 years. I married my wife Amy, our first lady, in June 2001. We have had 4 boys all one year apart. Our oldest was stillborn at 37 ½ weeks, but God has used the pain from his loss to offer hope to families who experience child loss.
We love spending time with our boys and enjoy helping them grow in their love for the Lord, and their love for music. We believe a healthy family is the core of ahealthy church and community.
Amy and I also have a passion for discipleship and take advantage of many opportunities to teach the Bible through exposition verse by verse. We also believe that the church is God’s instrument to reach the world for Christ. We love how multi-cultural our congregation is and embrace our differences instead of being divided by them. Our love for Christ is the glue that binds us all together.
Even though our extended family does not live near us, we love growing in relationship with our church family. It truly is a blessing being able to serve together. Texas, Idaho and Colorado have been our homes in past years for ministry perhaps to prepare us to live in California and more appreciate the diversity of this great State.
Throughout my life I have seen God use ordinary people in extraordinary ways. I would love for you to visit our church to see how God uses our differences and gifts to bring Him glory. I want to encourage you to team up with us to change the world for Christ as He is our only hope.
In His love,
Pastor Wyatt Duncan
