At First Baptist Church of Vacaville, our goal is to help children become true disciples of Jesus Christ by building loving relationships with them, exampling Christlike behaviors, and teaching them God’s Word.
On Sunday mornings, we offer a variety or age appropriate options for children:
Nursery - Our nursery recently underwent a major renovation and is currently closed while we hire and specially trained and vetted staff. Babies are welcome in our sanctuary for all services and a quiet area is available in our foyer (just in case the babies get fussy). Check back soon, as we look forward to announcing the grand reopening of our nursery.
Toddlers - Our toddler program involves age-appropriate activities centered around learning and fun!
Preschool through 6th Grade - We have several classrooms where children are taught the stories of the Bible at an age-appropriate level.
DURING THE WEEK
Awana - On Wednesday evenings, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, we offer an award-winning Awana program for children age 2 through high school. We partner with Southside Community Church to help strengthen our program and help us reach children throughout the community.
Awana reaches kids where they're at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. At Awana, children participate in learning activities, fun, games, and, as they get older, more serious mission work. Everything is centered around growing your child's Bible knowledge, bolstering their relationship with Jesus Christ, and equipping them to become future leaders.
We place high emphasis on the safety of our children. All teachers and youth workers are fingerprinted and submit to a thorough background check. In addition, we give specialized training to anyone working with children under the age of eighteen. All classrooms or areas with children present must have a minimum of two adults, and we encourage parents to visit at anytime. You can rest assured that your children are safe and well-supervised when they are entrusted to our care.
